A story that follows Lin Mo’s ups and downs after stepping into the field of publishing in the early 1990’s and being swept into the wave of reform that saw China usher in new heights in fashion and media.
After graduating from university, a recruitment ad led Lin Mo through the doors of Fengshang magazine, a publishing house situated inside a courtyard. From a tea girl who ran errands, Lin Mo rose up the ranks to become the chief operating officer and witnessed Fengshang magazine’s growth into a top tier company. However, the advent of international publishing house ‘Virgo’ deals a big blow to the native Chinese firm. Further more, new media threatens to render the traditional form of media obsolete. Lin Mo is forced out of her job, yet remains unfazed as she strives to climb back to the top.
