Bongsd recommended me this book. She tempted me by telling me the author mentioned Silent Separation in the novel & even used a few sentences from it. I was such a dummie to listen to her bcos after reading this book I feel like such a dummie lol. Nevertheless I am a happy dummie so I want you to also become a dummie :P It is a funny and silly book but pls leave your brain at home b4 you start reading it. Xinn, the author wrote this book specifically for you, lol.
The author is bad at constructing the story, so many hints and loopholes but never tie them up. The ending is rather abrupt. We don't know much abt the male lead or his feelings so I don't feel much for him. Also, he is not very nice yet didn't suffer much :(
Why I still finished the book? Bcos it is rather funny like a slapstick comedy. I giggled continuously at the way the author has written, as well as the words she used & also at the characters and jokes. The author added some English here & there & mixed with the Chinese, they sound so funny, very different style from other writers. Actually some of the Chinese words she used are quite difficult to understand but I did learn a fair bit out of this novel, lol.
Btw, don't expect much JQ bcos this is very tame compared to Big Grey Wolf's novels. That is bcos the author self-censored the novel & left out the mustard parts. But if you are keen, you can email her for them, lol.
The main girl owes her brother money. He said he will clear all her debt if she can do something for him. He works in the police and suspects a hospital of using illegal medicines. The mission is : she must to work there as an undercover, get close to a doctor (main guy) and collect evidence.
She met the main guy before in a blind date, she misunderstood him as her blind date.... The first day at work she caused a lot of stories at the hospital.
One day, the leads bumped into each other, she made his clothes all dirty. He told her that his tie has diamond on it and the diamond is lost. She must pay him, but since she didn't have money...there is a solution...to be his maid. For that she must to live with him because he wanted her at his disposal.
The beginning is good, but it's draggy around the end and the girl is more and more stupid. The book is quite BT but only 1 or 2 H scenes and the author cut all the explicit parts. But still, very funny to read.
