A very fun and interesting read, by the same author of To Be A Virtuous Wife 何为贤妻. The tone of the novel is comical and Heroine always surprises the love interest by switching gender norms during courtship; She sends him home, she rescues him from assassination, she gifts him priceless presents, she helps him with his political career etc. The funny thing is she does these all nonchalantly without premeditation or guile. She's also bold and direct, making her stand out amongst all the other noble ladies who hide their ambitions and ruthlessness behind a demure and subtle front. Its pretty fast paced and not at all draggy - about 150 or so chapters. Highly recommended if you read chinese as a lot of the comedic nuances can't be translated that well.
Interesting novel but unfortunately, the translation is incomplete. It is hard to read the raw using google translate so I kind of give up.
