XX, you are not allowed to read my books:P I feel this book is not as good as Wipe Clean After Eating but still tolerable with some silliness & humour here & there. Btw, I’ve not finished the book bcos I need at least a week for a novel:(
What more can I say except this is another typical boss & staff story. It does try to be funny but maybe the author tried too hard so sometimes they feel forced. Anyway do enjoy it since there are not that many good one and I am slowly running out of stock, lol. I still have a lot of funny books but not many boss & staff one left:( I’ll give this genre a break as I am getting a bit tired.
Decembi, if you love your e’yer & e’yee stories very much, you can give the president text a try. It is a genre by itself so there are plenty of books around. I read some b4 but oh my goodness they are so draggy that I never manage to finish any of them. Some are quite funny at the beginning but after sometime they become repetitive, convoluted & typical.
Beside this book I posted, I am also reading another boss & staff story which I feel is not good but I don’t know why it is very popular in baidu. It is called 不就偷你一杯子？Maybe it is bcos of my lack of proficiency in Chinese, so I can’t get the jokes. FYI, lidge also doesn’t thnk it is funny but you can give it a try. The way it was written is a bit hard to understand or follow so XX this book is not for you. I still gonna continue with it bcos I am curious abt something & it is killing me, lol. I don’t intend to post it but decembi can post it if she feels it is worth a read. I better warn you that the male lead doesn’t really show up much until abt more than 15 chapters later.
YAY!!! So happy! I need some fluff to heal my broken heart after reading a sad ending c-novel. YAY.

BUT, [SPOILERS]
I thought the author gave the female lead a rough deal. She's supposed to be a cool tomboy right? But she kind of just became someone with low self esteem later with everyone telling her it was her great fortune of meeting the male lead (akin to a six star hotel). 🙁 I thought that was so unfair! The female lead has such a great character set-up, being the protector of her gorgeous female friend and being kick ass at karate! So that was a bummer.
Also, I was uncomfortable with how the male and female lead's first night happened. It was in the grey zone of alcohol and not so clear consensual-ness… although, the male lead did redeem himself in the end, and he was a pretty well written male lead.
But what I liked most about this novel is that a lot of care was taken in the depiction of the friendship of the female lead and her best friend (who gets her own separate c-novel!). I thought that was lovely and more true of females in real life – and it was sweet that they chose each other over a guy when they both fell in love with the same person <3

It’s pretty short too the companion book! I might try it but feel like finishing another good ancient one before I fly back home and have less free time. I tried her other President one. Haha it’s funny, though the character is so silly haha. Will comment again if I do finish it.
