She is intelligent, beautiful, calm, professional. As the youngest chief forensic investigator for the past few years, her future is very bright. All of this, however, changed with a bizarre time-travel.
Her face was now destroyed. All right. But unexpectedly she was also a „gift“ from a small kingdom! Her life deviated from the initial course. By her side would from time to time emerge bizzare and bewildering incidents. She makes painstaking investigations, unravels the layers of mysteries, pleads for justice on behalf of the living ones, redress an injustice for the dead. There have been no vengeful spirits under her knife!
Just as everything has settled down, as she looked back, she was inwardly glad. One life, one world, two-persons. Today´s mistaken marriage is only to be tied with you.

Im a little hesitant to read this novel after reading A mistaken marriage match: A generation of military counsel. I hope there isn’t too much overlap between the two books since I don’t like novels that overlap. (overlapping novels are annoying since I already know what is happening…) Has anyone read Record of Washed Grievances yet and is the novel super overlapping?
Thanks,
恩儿
There´s no much of overlapping in this book.
While in GMC it was more about training soldiers, in this book they were most of time solving murders.
Some scenes that were only mentioned briefly in GMC here´s the full version of them.
So those who are fans of Gu Yun (me included) can enjoy in this book another side of Gu Yun. She can not only be a devil like trainer to those poor soldiers but also a very capable and brilliant detective. Oh and I almost forgot about her hilarious interactions with Su Yu 😀
I read both books and they are awesome. I actually like this one more because I feel like there are more interactions between the couple. Just too adorable!
This is the first book in the trilogy and the story flows better if you read this one first, then GMC. The author endeavours to minimise repetition so some major events were only briefly mentioned, but not explained in GMC. I read GMC first and while I liked it, I was also very puzzled on some of the plot points. They all clicked only after I read RWG. Now off to read the 3rd book!
THERES A THIRD BOOK??????
I’m reading this book currently and yes, it is quite hard to put down! Pace could be tighter but I like everything I see so far.
And I thought this is a Taiwanese novel when I saw the authors.name, I was laughing to myself when I realize I started on another moderately long book.
Yes, same question I have too, there is a third book?
Yep! The 3rd book is 《错嫁良缘》后宫疑云 or A mistaken marriage match: Mysteries in the Emperor’s Harem. It is about the second sister, Qing Feng, who was mistakenly sent to the palace instead of ‘Qing Ling’.
I think I’ll read this one after 侯門毒妃。especially since it’s so highly recommended. 🙂
Thanks, I found the third book, and the fourth one as well called 错嫁良缘 - 海盗千金 (A Mistaken Match – Daughter of the Pirate). It is pretty good and I think on par with “Washed Grievances” and better than the second and third book, which admittedly I have only skimmed through as I find the stories too long winded.
“Daughter of the Pirate” is a chirpy tale on Feng Su, daughter of Feng Ling and Gu Yun. Hard as it is to put down – I marathon the whole of Saturday night to read HALF the book – the story is just too long and I started skimming for the last 30 chapters the next day A fifth book is coming, this time on Zhou Qing’s daughter and I think I will check that one out as well.
Here is the link to read “Daughter of the Pirate” in chinese http://book.sto.cc/130775-1/
@Miumiu: yep, but only a few chapters are up. Make sure to check back to see updates.

And if you’re looking for the audiobook of A Mistaken Marriage Match: A Generation of Military Counselor 《错嫁良缘之一代军师》, it can found here:

I would like to add that both audiobooks have a radiodrama feel with the mixed male & female voices that emote really well. <3
Thank you! Loved the general counselor book, that’s why I’m back tracking to the 1st one
I’ve check the link for ebook and chapters 59-77 are missing. Hope somebody can provide a better link >o<
