Translatisms is translating this novel into English so if you are interested, go to her tumblr. I also found out this novel is so popular that it even has manhua which is not yet finished. I've never read a Cang Yue's novel even though she is pretty popular bcos I think most of her books have sad endings and seem rather bleak. But, we've Sherry a superfan here so if you are reading this, pls answer any query on Cang Yue's books. Also, Sherry, you've author's access now so you can post books but pls dun post all of Cang Yue's books in one shot or else we may suffer indigestion, lol.
Whoa, I just realized that this translator is also translating Who Gets The World! Yay! But I don't know how to leave a comment on her blog to show my appreciation of her efforts. (I have lots to say. Ha.) :( Does she visit this site so that I can express my gratitude?
I've no idea who visit SSB since I don't have tracking device like the FBI:P You can try & see if she response or not then you'll know if she is a visitor.
hah this novel have manhwa too :) seem tomorrow busy read:) peanuts do this manhwa has english version?
I don't think there is an English version but you can try to google for it. I think there is some missing chapters in the Chinese version and it is incomplete.
Hi peanuts , thanks.... yeah i think its not complete... i try google lol but seem i can't find or i just not good in search:D
PEANUTS!!! I'm here!!! I'm so happy that you posted this book and remembered me! Sadly, Sherry is a silly girl who forgot all her login info for SSB. T_T
I read the incomplete manhua a few months ago, and it's GORGEOUS! <3 I think I read this book three years ago so I can't remember much, but it definitely won't disappoint (as long as you read the whole long series, mwahaha). The abridged audiobook is also pretty good.
Thanks for pointing out that someone's posting an English translation! (And lol my beloved Gao Jianli from Qin's Moon is in the picture!) I translated part of Cang Yue's Listening to Snow Pavilion novel a few years ago, but never posted it because I knew I wasn't going to finish it, and I didn't want to torture potential readers, lol.
Oh gosh, there are so many c-novel translation blogs popping up that I seriously need a master list, lol.
I'll fix your login problem & email you later:)
Actually you can still post your translation & finish translating the last chapter. As long as there is head & tail, the readers can resort to google translate to read the middle if they are keen enough. It is such a waste of your effort to not let it see the light of day, lol.
Hey, are you sure you come to the bar often:P? We've a master list of english translation, right on top of the page!!!!
Thank you, peanuts. <3
Haha, I only have the very top of the "head" translated. xD For any translation warrior brave enough to attempt it, the Listening to Snow Pavilion series would be a monumental project. Basically there are 3 books in the series, 血薇 (10 chapters), 护花铃 (17 chapters), and 荒原雪 (21 chapters). The chapters in the series are never in chronological order (it's more like a series of individual stories with an overall arc, but the timeline overlaps in every story so it gets confusing). The beginning and ending of the main couple's story is already revealed in the first chapter of the first book (which is the only part I translated). And then all the other chapters in the 3 books tell the middle of their story and the supporting characters' stories (so long that I could fall over from exhaustion just by reading them, lol). No wonder there aren't any complete audiobooks for this series.
Haha yes, I know that you keep an awesome huge list of all the c-novel translations! :) I was just moaning to myself about the sheer number of blogs that I must remember to visit regularly. Some blogs have translations for multiple novels, so I guess I was thinking of making it easier for myself by just listing the blogs, which are fewer than the total number of translations, lol.
Can u read Chinese? u can visit her weibo.weibo.com/cangyue?topnav=1&wvr=5&topsug=1 Some of her information is released on it。If you leave a message, she may reply to you。
Hi there,
Can you tell us more about Cang Yue? Is there a list of what he has written so far, where he studied, anything about this author? Maybe there is a short biography somewhere online? If it's not in English, maybe I can use Google Translate?
Thank you!
Cang Yue is a pretty girl. I've never read her books but I did read that she was accused of plagiarism. No English info so use google translate.
