She said, ‘I will definitely become an immortal’.
He assessed her and sneered, ‘Indeed an immortal, a lazy one.’
She replied, ‘A lazy immortal is still an immortal.’
He remained silent.
She boldly declared, ‘Who says lazy people cannot become an immortal’.
The book description is rather short but this is a very long book so you have been warned:)

Started it yet? I wonder if the main guy is the person who created her?
Heehee, started 1 chapter only but google for the ending already:P I read it has a happy ending. However the person on baidu who said it has a happy ending also wrote Hua Xu Yin has a happy ending so I am still sceptical. After all the discussions on 3000 Crows Kill, I suddenly feel hungry for another 14 Lang work:) When I found out this book has 271 chapters, I am kind of reluctant to continue unless I am on holidays:(
I don’t think the main guy is the person who created her but I could be wrong as there is bound to be a lot of twists & turns in the plot in such a long story. I read some spoilers here & there with google translated English so take what I write with a grain of salt. I think the girl has a heart made of glass so she can’t feel love like Jin Mi but in a more serious setting in that I think she is on the opposing side to the main guy. Also, there is another one or 2 more guys beside the main guy which is sort of like the norm for xian xia novel.
lol very impatient reader. I’ve always wanted to read this one because it’s more popular than her other book. How was the audiobook for you? She just reads.
The reader is good with her pronounciation. Have not heard from this reader before so need sometime to get used to her voice. I feel it will be better if her voice is softer like the one who is doing the introduction. The music is rather melodious & sad, so maybe need to prepare some tissues:( Chapter 1 starts with the reincarnation of a girl who I think is the main girl who is called Suen Ji.
I finished chapter 1, it seems pretty interesting. I like it so far.
Don’t you find the reader voice’s too sharp & mature? I prefer the voices of the girls who always partner with C gege better. Maybe because I am used to them. Are you going to continue with this book since you’ve a few other books on hand? I will also wait for you to listen further before I start:P
I agree, she sounds too mature as a 10 year old. that’s why im using this novel to pass time. I think its because this book is too long. Both of those girls don’t like super long novels, so i get why they don’t do this one. The girl that did 3000 crow says she has another xian xia and a modern in preparation . I hope one of the projects will be with him cause his schedule should allow for another project.
This story does sound promising to be a heart tugging tear jeaker but when I listen to the audiobook, I always feel funny having an auntie reading to me so can’t get into the characters yet:(
It’s not kidding when they say the main girl is lazy, because she is VERY lazy. I have feeling that the first guy who shows up will be the first one to leave her for power. I don’t seem to connect with the main girl yet. It’s kind of a comedy feel right now. Her father is the headmaster of a sect that is cultivating to become xians. She’s very behind in her practice, still trying to memorize the different breeds of yaos/demons. Her dad yells at her, saying what’s the use of knowing what they are. When they pop up, you’ll rake your brain and finally say, “Oh, ur a …..xxx.” but that’s no use unless you know what to do after you’ve identified it. I hope she grows up faster. haha
I think I’ll be saving this till I have nothing to do. It seems adventure and the journey to enlightenment type of novels is not really my thing. Have to find a day and zap through 10 some chapters to really get into this novel.
Just started this a few days ago and I’m in the 20s. It feels a tad bit like Chong Zi, especially when she gets poisoned, I think, and some of her true nature shows. So far, there’s Zhong Min Yan, her shi xiong who is a bit like Qin Ke as in he’s overly mature for his young age and wants to do big things, but then unlike QK, he tends to show an embarrassing side of himself to Xuan Ji. Then there’s Yu Si Feng, the boy from the other sect with a mask and a stutter that is adorable, but like Zhuo Hao, is very protective of Xuan Ji. They started out hilariously on bad footing, and he refused to remove his mask for a while but when he did, Xuan Ji thought he was so pretty she wished he would keep the mask off. Then there’s the yao that they rescued from the tank in the city when the when to catch the beast for the Zanhua Meeting, where the young disciples have to face off against each other and kill a beast in the final round. The yao (I forgot his name….too many characters) was in the water and looked at Xuan Ji as if he knew her for a long time and smiled.
There are a lot of characters and the pace is really slow and the flow is not quite as good as Chong Zi, but it might be interesting. You really need to balance it out with something. 寡人有疾 is the other one I’m reading and its a better balance. Peanuts, do you want to come read that with me? You’ll like Pei Zheng. I promise. ^^
Hey atsu, I left you a msg asking you if you’ve listened to 寡人有疾 bcos everyone here is done with the book except me:( Ok, ok, I’ll start tonight but don’t go too fast bcos I still need to listen to Abu’s foxy voice until chapter 50, to catch with Chancy:P
You left me a message O_o? How do you check messages here? I’m technologically illiterate -_-‘ I won’t go too fast, promise!! 🙂
