This series wasn’t bad, but I think the prequel about the main character’s parents was better, although that was BL…
The audiobook is quite good. The story is not bad either and there are quite a few surprises in the story. It is a happy ending. The process wasn’t terrible but it’s still a bit much for my weak heart to handle.
The audiobook is really good. The story is full of ups and downs, not boring for sure. The female lead is a bit annoying in her early years. She only seems to be able to admit her love for the male lead only when he is near-death or she is near-death. Other than that in terms of romance and adventure and humor this book has everything. I enjoyed it very much. And it’s a happy ending – big plus point for me.
This story reminded me of “Face Off”
I just found out the other book in this series is Tang Qi Gong Zi’s Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.
Then I found out that there’s 13 books in the series 前世今生 Previous Life, Present Life which were all published in a magazine/website I think, featuring different authors. I don’t think they’re related though. I guess this is similar to how Novoland became a new genre, authors banded together and decided to start writing a whole bunch of books around a common idea/world.

ok ok ok so i stumbled upon this on ximalaya cus of nian shui xiao. I love her voice and I also love c. The plot is quite interesting so far. My heart was about to break once when shang guan tou was near death -.- I like how it’s not the same conventional bullshit. I love the dad tho, he’s hilarious and his undying love for chong lian <3 ahaha i ship that. look foward to the ending! ^_^
I hear this novel will be adapted into a drama! I love the male lead, if it’s truly going to be Luo Yunxi. I saw him in Ashes of Love and found him so incredibly handsome.
