  • Happy ending. Actually, I found the novel average, but peanuts asked me to translate the summary for her. Since it's already available, I decided to post it.

The plot revolves around the female lead unable to remember the male lead, but I felt this was just glossed over. Like when did he start liking her before they got to college? When did he write the letter and under what circumstance did he give it to her? How could she not remember? The version I read didn't explain any of this, but what I read was the published version in Viet so there could be parts cut from the original Chinese version.

One thing I liked about this novel is the relationship between the 4 girl roommates!!!! Their conversations are off the wall funny!!!!

最美遇见你 is OK.The female lead has trouble remembering ppl’s faces so when she meets the male lead again in graduate school, she doesn’t recognize that they had gone to school together either in middle school or high school, lol.The twist is the male lead back then had written her a love confession letter, but she didn’t read it.She has really cute roommates. There’s one who loves to watch adult videos so basically this roommate talks about adult videos all the time, lol.

  • I like the main girl, she is gentle but at the same time, don't play with her because she has a very sharp tongue. I love how she can naturally quoting a historical situation or proverbs. Usually, when she says something, everyone becomes numb for a few sec. Me like. :P Combination of pretty and smart. It's funny how she frequently talks about marriage to him unintentionally. The main guy is great. Thick-skinned in the beginning. But too little time between them. I like to see the guy jelly. And her roommates become slowly endearing. hihi I love when they call Xu Mo Ting "bro in law" and totally ignore their "sister" when he's around. I still think that the story is missing something. The 'uncle' parts are annoying. The epilogues can be sweeter (really, the author talk about a stranger in the honeymoon epilogue. waste, waste)

  • I like this story...wasnt a hard read and quite enjoyable.

the only bone i have to pick is how non of the story (main or epilouge) gave me the feel of a complete ending, it has an implied HE but too me still feels imcompleted, which I think could have been an easy thing to do...

but I did really enjoy it.

    Just my 2 cents

  • Oh, you have such good taste to manage to dig out one of my fav novel lol. I am in the midst of writing a feature on it. Did you read the viet version because it is incomplete as some parts were not translated? Bongd was crying over it:p If you have read the Chinese version then it is absolutely complete with them getting married and epilogues on their kids.

  • I see...yep I have read the Viet version!!!

oh please do write a feature on this it is a great book.

and I must say my viet is not great but thanks to all the recommendation over at Hui3r I'm slowly reading my way through quite a few novels already and am thoroughly enjoying it as well as improving my vietnamese... keep up the good work guys.

Do you no where there is a completed viet version of this book?

  • There is no completed viet version of the book bcos the published official version is incomplete. My Viet friend has already searched but can't find the missing bits. Hence it is best to read in Chinese heehee... Maybe I'll translate the missing parts for you & her but no promise & u've to wait a long time lol. My feature should be out in July as I am currently on holidays.

  • If you don't already know, I am translating this novel so come and support me :P Lidge & the Viets read the incomplete version so some of their criticisms are not valid. Anyhow I've to warn you the book is best at the beginning. Indeed the std of the novel does drop later but I still like my MT & AN enough to translate them :)

I've updated all the requests for new links for Tang Dynasty Female Forensic, Dare to Marry, Wipe Clean and Hua Qian Gu.

  • Enjoyed the translation/ reading the story. Thank you.
Request you to change ongoing as completed (?)
