I Want To Go Far Away 我要走远点 by 居筱亦 Ju Xiao Yì (HE)

image

Each time, Nie Wei Yang appears, Chen You Bao will tell herself, “I want to walk far away, as far away from him as possible”.

But with just one soft word, “come back” from Nie Wei Yang, she will obediently come back.

She cannot afford to offend this man and definitely can’t hide from him.

He pursues her, she dodges him…..but for how long, he is so persistent.

He’s a big fu-hei, he’s possessive, he’s chauvinistic, he’s powerful, he’s authoritative,  handsome, rich, and he’s a cradle snatcher – why? Becoz he’s fifteen years older than her.

He’s a 35 year old high ranking government official.

She’s a 20 year old university sophomore.

Thank you to our Xinn Xinn for taking the effort to post her first book here. I like ‘fu hei’ (belly black?) guy but this one sounds a bit overbearing, more like a master:( Moreover a cradle snatcher. Oh, I dislike snatcher of any kind in particular snatching babies. A decade difference is the max I can stomach which I feel I am reasonable & tolerance:) There seems to be an imbalance of power here as the guy is so much older & worldly, not to mention his wealth & position in life. Is this love or hero worship?

To start off with, she’s an innocent sweet young girl who is pampered, protected and dearly cherished by her parents and brothers all her life.

Maybe at the beginning, it was a lot of intimidation, fear and the age factor, but over time she fell in love with him becoz he simply adores her and treats her so very well and she just couldn’t resist his charms. Or maybe, she also needed somebody matured who loves, protects and cares for her just like her family did.

The first half of the book is really funnii and cute, especially when he pursued her relentlessly. After that, the funny parts tapered off and they had to deal with serious issues such as parental objections from both sides and the lead male’s ex-wife. The last part got me crying buckets of tears, but no worries — after all the sobbing, they live happily ever after.

This is a such a lovely-lovely book. After reading it, i really grew to appreciate why some women prefers older, eh….more matured men.

Peanuts is going to freak out, the books I’m currently on are all “uncle” books. Here goes :-

    嫁!我的黑马 (9 yrs diff)
    与你有关的事 (11 yrs difference)
大丈夫小媳妇 (are u ready for this —- 20yrs diff)!!!

These books are actually really nice and cute. I’m so in love with all the male leads, yeah…although they are a little too old, but who cares….men in their forties are supposed to be in their prime!!!….you are freaking out right(??)…LOL

Initially I was rather uncomfortable too when I started with I Want To Go Far Away but very quickly, my reservations flew out of the window becoz NieWeiYang was really sweet and so were the rest of the leads in the other books.

Walah, why sudddenly all uncles? You looking for a sugar daddy, haha? I don’t mind reading one with uncle but all uncles, I can’t take it. I’ll have nightmare, lol. Hey, those uncles better than Feng Teng, Xiao Bai, Song Zi Yan, Jiang Li, Zhong Yuan, Ling Cao, Ye, Zheng Cheng, He Yi Chen & Xiao Nai? Read the fishy book I posted as the guy is only 26 or 27 yo.

You finished your childhhood sweetheart book with the guy called 97 or something like that. Good ar?

Haha…actually the uncles are not that old….In their early to late thirties, the age diff is wide becoz the female leads are all very young, in their late teens or early twenties.

While FengTeng, YeZhengCheng and XiaoBai have special places in my heart, I would say, yes, the uncles are better than the rest!!!! Omg, what am I saying?? I’m obviously in a daze!! LOL…

I’m just about to finish the “94” childhood sweetheart book, took me such a long time becoz I got sidetracked by these uncles. I’ll post “94” later.

OMG, are you serious that these uncles are better than those classic males??? Lidge, are you reading this? Have you read any of these uncle novels? Probably these uncles are better bcos they are older & richer, lol. Anyway to each its own. Since you like uncle, you can read Twice Blooming Flower. He is not really an uncle but I think maybe abt 8 or 10 yrs older than the female lead. Part of the book is funny, part angsty, part romantic…….

Trust me, this is a money-back-guarantee book! If you don’t like it, claim your deposit back from Peanuts!!heehee…

If you’re like me who loves rich n powerful men bullying their weak n silly female counterparts, then this is the book. Plenty of laughs, little bit of angst + tears but of course, has a very happy ending.

Plus the supporting characters are very interesting too. Plenty of readers asking the writer to do spin-offs based on the stories of the supporting characters.

Hey, hey, both of you never pay for loitering at the book bar, yet want a refund from me:P? Next time I gonna charge you for each recommendation, lol. Peanuts’s recommendations come with quality assurance:) As for Xinn Xinn, can you trust someone with an unhealthy obsession with uncles, haha?

Pm, pickled vege got no sad romantic guy:( He is a ‘fu hei’ (belly black) boss like Feng Teng in Shan Shan. I recommended you Original by Xin Yi Wu and Wedding Night, Neighbour by Ye Luo Wu Xin. Both kind of have sad romantic guys but some funny moments also.

I read a few chapters of this book but didn’t really like it. 😛

Anyway for a period of time I had a fetish for male leads who are handicapped. e.g. blind, crippled. LOL.

Aawww, that’s just too bad. Don’t you find BaoBao cute? As for NieWeiYang — I practically salivate, haha.

I would ask you to read a few more chapters before throwing in the towel but then, like Peanuts says, to each its own. As for me, I will not touch any books on incestous relationships or homosexuality. I don’t mind crying for the sake of crying over a sad story provided it has a happy ending but i will never touch a sad-ending book with a ten foot pole.

Ok I’m done with this book…my opinions….. If got spoilers pls hide for me k……

I started off liking nwy…..coz he’s so well…..charming…but as I read on…he behaves quite ungentlemanly……I dun like the part where bao bao says she does not want to do it and cries…but he keeps saying be good, yes you want…he’s forcing himself on her totally!! And second time again she says no…but he still goes ahead with it and makes use of her distraction to go all the way…tot tat was really bad of him…..

I tot he was smart…..but didn’t he see his ex wife coming onto him and trying to break up their marriage??

    Before marriage he’s all full of promises….but after marriage…..it’s not fulfilled……it’s well…quite real life portrayed I guess….

So in the end….I still have no idea if bao bao is happy or not…did she forgive him totally or is she just loving him for loving him? Coz I think it’s quite open ended …to me at least…..

Hhmm…maybe uncle relationships are not too optimistic??

  18. XinnXinn
    XinnXinn May 25, 2013 at 3:55 am |

He did behaved in an ungentlemanly manner, but that’s becoz he’s a brute of a man, and that’s what makes him Nie Wei Yang, he demands and he commands!!!! Dddrrroolll….

Nevertheless, I was very upset too when it seemed like he broke his promise and scolded BaoBao so harshly when they fought over his ex-wife. But he is a man of principle, i think he felt bad and maybe even guilty that his ex-wife, without telling him had to abort their baby due to complications immediately after their divorce. So, when she became sick due to lack of proper care post abortion, he felt that he should bear the responsibility of looking after her.

But I forgave him when humbled himself in front of BaoBao and her family to redeem himself, especially considering he’s such a proud and almighty person.

The final episode did reveal that BaoBao is very much happy and contented after reconciling with WeiYang. But I guess the epilogue / special chapter at the end did throw in a spanner of doubt as to whether BaoBao really forgave him or not. But more often than not, special chapters do not necessarily tie in with the actual content of the book, so I’m not reading too much into it.

Hey, I hope you enjoyed the book as much as I did.

Wat special chapter? The honeymoon chapters?

I liked the book….but I felt sad for bao bao….felt like she was coerced into the marriage….and then treated badly….she wasn’t even treated like a person…more like a pet tat he could control and order around…

Did u feel like he humbled himself? I tot he was just doing a show…since he’s a diplomat…..everything is for show and all calculated moves…..coz he didn’t change after tat I felt…..still forced himself on her

I still think his ex wife episode was badly handled….coz it’s not his fault so why feel guilty…..wife comes first….ex wife no place…..she didn’t take care her own prob…..why tell him after he is engaged…why call in the middle of the night….he’s so smart…why didn’t he figure it out? Made bao bao feel so insecure……u force an early marriage and treat her badly……I wished her big bro would have taken care of her forever… Wished she didn’t go back to him… 🙁 I think he deserves rui an…..bad and bad together.

Sorry Xinn…..hehehe….I decided nwy is not as nice anymore…….

I liked this book. Funny in the beginning and a bit angsty later. I don’t really blame nwy completely. Yes , he was at fault for getting too involved with his ex wife . But cyb also over reacted because of her immaturity and her inferiority complex.
