My Silly Girl (Cherished Moments of After Marriage) 我的傻姑娘(婚后宠文) – 馨婧 Xin Jing (HE)

The first time they met……she was an eleven year old sweetie pie accompanying her father to the opening ceremony of a library. Her father introduced her to a twenty five year old handsome business acquaintance who was attending the same ceremony. She called him Uncle Wen.

The second time they met……she and her university room mates were posing and taking pictures of themselves by a Rolls Royce. She was eighteen then and was thoroughly embarrassed when she realised that he was inside the car looking out at them in amusement.

The third time they met…..it was another year and half later, and this time, she agreed to marry him in order to save her father’s company. She still insist on calling him Uncle Wen.

Wen Ze was already thirty four years old, chairman of a huge conglomerate and finds himself marrying twenty year old Luo Shang Er, a pretty university student.

Both are inexperience with affairs of the heart, physically and emotionally. What exactly propel Wen Ze to commit himself in this marriage? Seems like a true marriage of convenience. One was marrying out of filial duty and another was marrying because he is at an age where he should start a family. How will the marriage pen out for two persons who are almost total strangers? How long will it take before love eventually weave its way into their hearts?

When will she stop calling him Uncle Wen?

  • This is quite a lengthy book and many may find it tiresomely boring as it is devoid of extreme angst and emotionally draining plots. The book is a picture of a winding marriage road leading to love and happiness at the end. The story is well paved with humour but there were teary eye moments as well.

Wen Ze kinda reminds me of Wen Xing Zhi of 与你有关的事 (Somewhere In Time I Met You), only that I think Wen Ze is more shrewd and naughty. His love and devotion for Shuang Er came through 100% especially during the time when she was pregnant with quadruplets and had life threatening complications.

Oh, I must mention that Wen Ze plays the guitar, writes songs and sings like a heavenly king. He is also a jewellery designer by training and designing is his real passion but he had to give it up becoz he, being an only son had to take over his father's business empire.

The funniest character in the book turned out to be Wen Ze's mother, she's priceless, hilariously funny. Too bad her parts were not that much.

I love reading such day-to-day life books where the bumps are not too rough and yet dotted with some clouds but which eventually clears to reveal the silver lining. (Maybe the writer could or should have cropped off some of the more sentimental narrations to shorten the book). Anyways, a wholesomely happiness book. And yes, it's another Uncle book!!!

Would you please tell me the Vietnamese title for this book? I tried to search for it, however I still wouldn't be able to find it. If it is closely to the English title then won't it be " cô gái ngớ ngẩn của tôi" or "Những khoảnh khắc yêu thương sau khi kết hôn"?

  • @ Thuy Dung, it seems this is called Cô Nương Ngốc Của Tôi or Cô Gái Ngốc Của Tôi on a quick google search
