I can’t resist posting up C-gege’s new book, especially since it has an ancient setting. Just from the summary, I know I’m likely to drown from jumping ships to often. Both guys some equally good.

Is this a wuxia book? I don’t want to read abt palace power fighting or xian xia good vs evil. Good ending or not? Who is the male lead?

This book is more abt wuxia & revenge than romance which is ok since I am sick of romance:P I suspect Xiao is the supporting & I’ll ship him:(
I also think I’ll like Xiao more too, but inside ‘i have an urgency’ it was set this way too where in the summary its talking about the guy she doesn’t end up with. I don’t really ship the jade guys with the main girls, they never really end up with the girl. (ex: urgency, who gets the world, dmy, flame’s daughter)
HXF doesn’t end up with BXF in Who Gets the world???? I found out who she gonna end up with. The happy or weird bit is I think I read the supporting male will get a random girl in the epilogue.
Hey Chancy, is 天配良缘之陌香 also read by Ling Xuan the 1st book in the serial? If yes, then according to comments the 2nd book is better. They can be read independently but if you read the 1st book you’ll know who is the male lead for this book. Some characters in the 1st book make an appearance in the 2nd book & vice versa.

I read a little of this, it’s pretty good. The main girl is pretty cool. This reader can’t really do child voice well, so the little sister’s voice is pretty weird. Neither guy has shown up yet.

I went back to listening to this book again, but got distracted once again and started reading a book called 邪皇的宠妃. I like it…… Each of the princes (Third Brother the Crown Prince, 4th Brother the husband, and 8th Brother) are so handsome in their own way. She’s a general’s daughter that got promoted to Princess status to marry into the Chu kingdom for peaceful union between Chu and Zhao kingdom. Seems like she has a hidden agenda/mission also. I wanted to bang my head when I realize that she time traveled. They could have done well without that, but it doesn’t interfere with my liking for the story.
Back to Shang Jun, this book is very wuxia feel. A girl’s bitterness that no one would help her avenge her father’s death and bring down the bad king because she’s a girl. I’m putting this on hold because I’m engrossed in the other book and because the audiobook isn’t finished yet.
The audiobook for 邪皇的宠妃 only has one female reader? You seem to like book of this genre – palace kind. Wow, more than 100 plus chapters, so long. Nowadays every dog & cat also time travel so you’ve to accept it as part & parcel of life, lol.
With Shang Jun, has C gege appeared yet? I read the male leads will make apppearance rather late.

I am very liking Shang Jun too. The main girl is very 帅 but it’s ok. Just as long as the guy is even 帅-er. The reader sounds a bit mature but she’s more tolerable than the reader that read Let Me Look At You and also the character is a bit different although still kind of similar.
I hope Chancy is not too heart broken but they could be siblings like Water sis & Cgege, lol.

Shang Jun is 帅 in the guy way, which is not actually that attractive in a girl. Would prefer her to be more like the Bai Feng Xi (from Who Gets the World) kind of 帅. I’m too traditional lol. The first girl that pop up in the story thought she was handsome, and that’s bad very bad. She would make a nice brooding guy, but it’s important part of her character and the plot so I will forgive her.
It’s very sad when she asks herself, if only she were a guy, would those people have helped her? I honestly don’t think so. Even if she were a guy, those people would still think about it. Only when she met that girl that saved her and her sister someone actually 1) have the ability to help her 2) desperate enough to gamble their life/posessions 3) genuine and unconditional enough about it!! The target of her revenge is the king after all.
