This book tells the story of whether one can reignite an old flame? If in the end Da Xiong and Xiao Jing do not end up together, isn’t it a waste of their dedicated sweet love? The main plot: Miss Da Xiong and Mr Xiao Jing are once a pair of sweetheart. A match made in heaven, but were separated by the immaturity of youth.
Separated by the two ends of the earth.
After five years, they meet again.
The first time, she meets him at a wedding.
She said: “Congratulations.”
He said: “You so desperately want me to get married?”
The second time, she rushes to his house and musters up the courage to say: “I want to cohabit with you!”
He said: “I do not cohabit with people, will only get married!”
We were once young and foolish, cry for the people we love, laugh for the people we love. But never thought what will be the outcome five years later. Five years, another five years, life has how many five years? Time is really like the sand hourglass, lost precious time and lost ourselves as well. I think, if things are predictable, we will not become what we are now?

It has been quite sometime since I last posted a book so, anyone miss my posting, lol? I posted this book not because it is a book I like but bcos a friend recommended to me sometime ago & I found an audiobook. I also read quite good comments on this book. Since my atsu is having a dry spell, hopefully this short audiobook will cheer her up:) I only listened to a few mins of the book so I cannot guarantee its quality but so far it sounds very ok. There are some songs & the audiobook is rather short so I suspect it is a summary only:( Since atsu likes the reunion genre, maybe she wanna give this book a try & give some feedback:)

Hey, I can no longer access anything that is longer (more than a few mins) in tudou eg those radiodrama & drama:( Said I m outside China:( Do you've such access problem fr US? Any way to get over this? Help, help, cry, cry, I can't access all my radiodramas:((((
Awww, thank you Peanuts! It sounds like fun and the reunion type is always a plus! I actually really want to read 小时代 to see if it's any good but I just don't have the time to read without audio right now ^^ I can always count on you guys here to help me through my dry spells!
Peanuts, do you use Chrome web browser? I used to have the same problem too but I found a solution recently. If you don't use Google Chrome, install it. I'm emailing you a link and just follow the instructions and it should work like a charm. If anyone else has the same issue and/or would like the link, just let me know!
I tried reading this story, but I lost interest very early. If it's very good I'll continue it.
Yup, I heard about a plugin for Chrome that can bypass also. Firefox use to have, but it got blocked.
Tiny Times is being made into drama.
I am at the halfway pt of this book. It is a rather sweet & cute story, kind of like He Yi Sheng Zhao Mo but simpler and shorter. When I listen to it, make me feel very nostalgic & reminiscence. Nothing exciting or addictive abt this book yet it is still quite good as there are many good songs in the audiobook. It feels like a musical. Another bonus is there are a few voices. Atsu, have u tried? Give this warm & feel good book a try when you need something fluffy after a lot of angsty.
Hey where is my lidge? Are u still around, lol? What books are u feasting yourself lately? Have you read this book? This big bear reminds me of you bcos she loves to eat, lol.
I can't find this. Don't think it's been translated.
Today, I checked XYW's Facebook page by Viet fans, and ppl were talking about the cute conversations between JN and HS in Let Me Look At You so I'm rereading that now out of nostalgia. I love the part where they're teenagers.
Hey, did you check properly? This author is rather well liked in C novel world. She is the one who wrote 你是我学生又怎样 (So What that You are my Student) which is quite a hit with many high school & uni students so I think Viet readers will like her too. Have you read 你是我学生又怎样? Big Bear was published a long time ago & the story should be quite easy to translate. It is a likeable story. Anyway if really no translation, you also didn't miss anything great. It is just a cute book to pass the time, not a must read. Btw the storyline is too similar to Gu Man's He Yi Sheng Zhao Mo.
Why you still go to XYW's fb? After that terrible story she wrote, I am boycotting her, lol. Btw I read the name of her next book is 'Promised Years'. U heard abt this? Sound promising, so pls 'promise your next book has good characters & ending', lol. I am lazy to summarise the comments I read abt Eclipse Heart but the gist of it is that some are asking if XYW wanna get a nobel prize, lol. They asked her not to change her established style which is well liked by everyone, sad story but with happy ending. Overall most feel she is good with words & plots as they are refreshing & interesting but with this book she is stingy with words. She didn't write enough to make us ship either the male or female leads. The book should have the same length as Let Me Look at U. Yes, this is my most fav book like many of her readers. What is the feedback of Eclipse Heart in the Viet community?
Oh, thanks for clarifying it's the same author as So What That You're My Student. I know of So What (which has been translated but I haven't read) so I was able to search again by the author's name in Viet and found nothing so now am 110% Big Bear hasn't been translated. Sad because I like reading about female leads who like to eat (for obvious reasons, hehe). Also like reunion stories too.
Haven't read Eclipse so can't comment if there's any change in XYW's writing style. However, in her last few books, I did feel something was off especially in Mirage. I've said this before so pls bear with me, hehe. One of the things, if not the most obvious thing, that really stood out in Mirage was XX's frustration at the monotony of her marriage. Then I read about you saying XYW wanted to change her writing style. At that point, I couldn't help but wonder if XYW wrote XX as a reflection of herself. That like XX stuck in a boring marriage for safety, XYW also felt she had to write a certain way because that's what the fans want and she needs income.
As a reader, I'm OK if writers want to change their style. In everyday life, it's normal for ppl to get tired of the same job and want new challenges and growth. Same thing with writers. My thinking is that when a writer changes the writing style, there will be reactions from fans. Good writers will assess fans' reactions and ultimately find a nice balance between how they want to write that will generate positive reviews and satisfy fans. My fear is that there will be pressure for XYW to conform (stick) to a style she's not happy with. This will make her unhappy, which will affect her writing negatively. When we do things we like and are happy, then we put forth our best effort and the result is usually good, and vice versa.
Wahhh, info about new book already? Drools~ Drools~
INFO plsssssss, if there are any!!!!!♥♥♥
I WANT, I WANT!!!!!!! Drools~ Drools~
Promised Years? So another main couple with link in childhood is my guess based on the title. If they don't already have a history, then why "promised years", right? Or maybe I'm over-analyzing and seeing things that aren't there, haha.
No feedback on Eclipse Heart yet since it's just released in China, lol. Gah, if not for you, I wouldn't know the plot and ending, lol. Given XYW's popularity, it's certain that the copyright will be bought and published in Viet. Problem is this will take some time, probably 1 or 2 yrs.
Out of all her books, I feel Let Me is the most perfect one in terms of plot, characters development, pacing of the story. However, my favorite is Waiting4U because the female lead's personality is similar to mine.
ya.....i remembered this book having nice voices.a bit confusing in the beginning.
It is not confusing if you read the book intro. I think you were not concentrating:P This story is so simple yet some of the stuff they said are quite insightfuls. On one hand it is refreshing to have a guy narrating but he didn't do a good job as he is too soft:( Anyway this is a happy audiobook which makes me wanna sing, lol. I am bias & is rather fond of this book bcos like the girl lead, I copied homework from my friends all my life, fr primary school to uni, lol.
Lidge, why u haven't read So What That You’re My Student since you like teacher & student story, haha? Yah, the boy & girl in this book are rather sweet, typical campus story book. They knew each other since young, sat together in the class then he moved away then they met again in uni. They broke up bcos of misunderstanding, as the girl thinks the guy gonna accept an overseas job proposal so she migrated to US with the family. Later they met again at a mutual friends' wedding. Why nobody come to Aust, lol?
XYW changed style in Mirage then again in Eclipse. I don't mind the change in style in Mirage but not Eclipse bcos she wrote such unlikeable leads !!! Come on she is writing a romance novel not a nobel prize book, lol. How can you make your readers hate the leads? Where is the love? Although I didn't read the book, I read enough comments to know the story well. After they left the island the story went downhill. I want XYW to be happy but she also needs to make us happy. She wrote Eclipse while being pregnant so maybe she is suffering fr depression so I'll forgive her:P Hopefully the baby will bring new 'promises':P I'll try to dig out more info for you but I think at the moment not much.
Hey, don't scare me ! U r as prideful & stubborn as the girl in Waiting for You? I told you I didn't like that girl bcos I find her so passive & strong making my poor guy does all the work & wait for her. Make sure you don't make your real guy wait that long for you bcos in real life there might not be 2nd chance:( In this big bear book, the guy lead is so nice. He said he'll wait for the girl as many yrs as possible but it can't be forever bcos he'll grow old & die so he wants a family & a baby.
So What has good reviews but just not in the mood for teacher-student story. Guess I'm just bitter that when I was in school, I didn't have any good-looking teachers that made me want to go to class. Maybe that's why I always slept in class, haha. I rarely had male teachers and they were old, like grandpa old or greatgrandpa old.
Even though I can't read Big Bear, I know what it's about so thanks peanuts, haha. Yeah, I notice not too many ppl go to Australia, not in books or dramas. Usually they go to either US or London or Paris. Hey, maybe you should start a petition for Australia to be mentioned more, peanuts, haha^^
