The beginning is a promise that cannot be fulfilled on time. The lost of first love has completely changed Su Cuo. She thought she could never love again but fate has arranged for her to meet the most important person in her life. Fervent and warm college life, carefree and freewheeling youth and an unexpected encounter with love that is quietly approaching.
Chen Zi Jia is handsome and wise. Xu Yi Hao is calm and easy going. Shao Wei is caring and considerate. Who will be able to enter into her desolate heart? A past promise that cannot be broken and a love that is right in front of you at your fingertips, what will Su Cuo do and how will she choose?
When they meet in their youth, she is active and he is handsome. They should have fallen in love with each other in their blossoming time. Anyway, the story just unfolds with a wrong start. A promise never spoken out in time changes Su Cuo completely. For a long time since then, Su Cuo lives only for Jiang Weizhi through different life challenges. But the delight of life lies in its unpredictable changes. The destiny however arranges her to run into Chen Zijia. She has been waiting without reasons for nine years. No matter whether she returns back or stays still, he has been always there, without leaving or retreating. ‘There are so many things can be done in our life. At first, I have thought about giving up.’ It is fortunate that life is not always restrained to certain moment or place. Her insistence finally embraces some response.

Lidge have u read 君子以诺 b4? Modern book. It was recommended by reader that prefers ancient, so i thought it might b good.
Can you give me the author? Preferable author & title in both Chinese characters & pinyin.
Aiyo Chancy, why you don't ask me, also an expert of modern novels:P? You probably have the 以 written wrongly so our lidge can't find leh, haha.. I know abt this book 君子一诺 (jun zi yi nuo - A Gentleman's Promise) by 皎皎 (Jiao Jiao). Apparently it is good but it is a campus love story which I've read too many:( I think it is something like Lost Youth. Will read it one day when I feel hungry for campus love story again, lol.
[spoiler]
Having gone through the initial pain, Su Cuo gradually started to accept that person who has silently shown concern and waited for her. Chen Zi Jia spent seven years in waiting to get the love of his life. Perhaps Jiang Wei Zhi will always stay in Su Cuo’s heart but Su Cuo and Zi Jia realised that they also love each other deeply. Xu Yi Hao and Li Wen Wei and Su Zhi and Ying Chen also found their own happiness. Life will always have regrets, but the future can still be good.

Oh, are you sure that book hasn't been translated as it is a very famous book. Heehee, I think it is either not uploaded online or your searching skill is lacking:P
Hey, teach me how to post spoiler as I don't want skyblu to read it & lose interest in the book, lol.
Oh, by posting this book I've relegated my beloved Shan Shan to the 2nd page:( This is a very popular book as it is ranked no. 19 on the top 100 poll. In addition Chen Zi Jia is ranked no. 16 on Baidu's 35 favourite male characters in Chinese romance novels poll. He even beat my favourite Hei Feng Xi from Who Gets the World at no. 17:( The reviews for this book are also good. So, what I cannot understand is why is there no audiobook???? The best I can find is radio drama trailers:( Not even proper radio drama:(
I did give this book a try. I've to admit it is a bit slow as there are too many male characters in the book. Also, the book doesn't have many funny moments but I can see why Chen Zi Jia is so well-loved. It is because he patiently & persistently waited 7 yrs for the girl. Thus, the number one requirement to become a favourite male lead is 'waiting', lol. Our lawyer, He Yi Chen also waited 7 yrs so he is no. 1 in Lidge's heart as well as the hearts of many girls in China.
Oh, I just realised most of my fav male characters have the surname Chen, haha.....Chen Zheng from You are Still Here, Chen Yu Bai from Go with the Flow of Love & Chen Zi Jia in this book. Although He Yi Chen from He Ye Sheng Zao Mo and Xi Xi Chen from Warm in Winter Cool in Summer don't have Chen as their surname, they still have Chen in their names, lol. The only Chen I don't really fancy is Chen Xiao Zheng in Our Eventually Lost Youth.
oh no....how come today cannot open the ebook?
I've no problem opening. You must have done something naughty & got banned, lol.
ya..... :( sad and open endings are things i dislike the most....life is already sad enuf.....i like happy endings....
hehe...i tried an audio book for gentleman's promise....quite nice...got sound effect as well...but i think i prefer trying to struggle thru reading...hehe....
maybe all dads are alike?? hahahaha
yep yep....reading how...but sometimes the loading of the book doesnt appear, sometimes very slow.... :( hope im not barred from it...... so far so nice.....how nice to be like su cuo...smart and beautiful and so many guys after her.....but then again...its just a story...sighz.....but it did remind me of my uni days....hahaha...
Haha, I also like happy ending book. So, don't read Fei Wo Si Cun's books as most have tragic endings:(
It is not an audiobook. It is a radio drama which is incomplete. Since you can read so read but I can't read so I welcome anyone who'll read to me. Btw the radio dramas for Come & Eat, Shan Shan are really good. Always make me giggle like a little girl:)
