With a heart full of determination to sacrifice myself, I decided to assassinate the Crown Prince from the neighbouring country. However, when I woke up the next day, I discovered that I had transformed into him, and he me.
Besides the feud between our countries, we had to confront numerous other problems – for instance, how we intended to bathe, how we intended to use the toilet, and most importantly, every morning, when I woke up, I always feel slightly embarrassed.
He wasn’t awkward in the slightest, just that he frequently forgot that I am a woman.

This is a comedic book written by Ze Mu, who adopts a comical tone from start to finish in this tale of how the Princess and Crown Prince from warring countries switched bodies, married each other, and eventually fell in love. Thus, for those who are looking for a more book which explores serious issues or recounts a more gripping tale, this book is not for you.
The female lead, Princess Chang Yi, gets freaked out rather easily in learning how to use the Crown Prince’s body due to her unfamiliarity with the male anatomy, which results in her being rather awkward when she possesses his body. That said, there are times when she too, forgets the she’s a ‘male’, and thus she gets mistaken (on more than one occasion) for being a homosexual as she sends looks of admiration to other males. Conversely, the male lead, Prince Wu Min, is much more at ease in the Princess’s body, and often uses the Princess’s to commit childish acts and other wacky acts. Through this process of body-swapping, the two gradually fall in love with each other, and develop a romance from thereon.
Due to the comical tone of this book, all the problems are easily resolved, and there’s no angst in this book. It’s a really easy read, and would be suitable for those who are looking for comical books to pass the time. That said, the development of the characters are really really limited (perhaps because of the comedic nature of the book), and thus I would only give this book 3-3.5 stars at best.
To give a preview of what the tone of the book is like, I have translated one of the scenes in the book. This scene occurred when the Princess Chang Yi (in the male lead’s body) was about to poke the forehead of Prince Wu Min (in the Princess’s body), but got stopped by a gentleman on the street:
I like this book because it’s funny I can read it even with my standard of Chinese hahaha. Only at chapter 4 though
@ galuhasri I’m glad you found the exerpt funny, hopefully someone picks it up for translation! 🙂
@ sparklingdawnlights I’m glad you like it! Ah, I found the initial parts where she was adjusting to Prince Wu Min’s body quite hilarious, especially when she attempted to bathe blindly. Haha yeah I read it for the laughs because the two are just too hilarious! (albeit the lack of character development at the end was mildly disappointing).
is this one fairly short and angst free? Im looking for something to relax with… in between exams… T.T
@ serendipity
This is definitely pretty short, like all of Ze Mu’s books, and it’s entirely angst free so you can give it a shot! Especially since you’re in between exams perhaps you might need some laughs. All the best with your exams!! 🙂
Im thinkinh of translating a snippet from chap 2, that chapter was hilarious hahaha
I’ve been looking for a no angst romantic comedy… time to read it when I find the time~
@sparklingdawnlights which snippet do you like best? all the best with your translation, if you do translate that snippet I can’t wait to read it 🙂
@serendipity oh dratz I remember dreading Quantum Mechanics – it was my least favourite topic in Physics. Hopefully your exams are ending soon 😀 😀
@alyschu I hope you like it! If you read it purely as a comedy (without expecting serious issues to be discussed) then it’s a pretty good book from start to finish 🙂

Welcome back!! Freedom must taste fantastic :p LOL that’d be a great answer which the teachers would unfortunately have to miss out on. Guess they’re just going to have to suffice with boring answers XD Merry X’mas!! ^^
