Introducing this story as a christmad present to you guys~ This story is different because instead of time travelling to the past the female lead and her bodyguard timetravel to the present. The female lead lives in the time period where meatier females are more attractive, however she is slim. Now that she time travels to the present into a plump body, she is happy. She does not realise that society’s view on beauty has changed though….
I wrote about this book on my blog here:

Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!!!
Ooh, I remember this one. The princess and her bodyguard who time-traveled to the modern world. It was cute and funny, but maybe lack a little punch. Or I’ve outgrown HS settings. I’ve just read her other modern book “The Mighty Girl” 姑娘威武 and found it more memorable, even if the “mighty” girl is sometimes too mighty for me.
*edit* haha I wrote my comment in the time you wrote yours and wordpress hold it in pending hostage.
Merry Xmas!
If we post comments at the same time that happens? Don’t use wordpress hahaha. I haven’t finished the whole book yet, I think it’s not as great as her other works but nonetheless something different 🙂
No, wordpress (the platform for shushengbar) just likes to hold comments hostage. It held your comment in pending so I never saw it until I wrote mine and went to approve pending comments. It is doing that a lot now, even when a comment does not have any links. I even have to approve my own comments if I write using my non-shushengbar ID.
I remember this novel too, I read it because I was on a 九鷺非香 binge but I do recall not liking it as much as I did her other novels. In general I think 九大 appears to handle Xianxia/Ancient material better, but again it might have something to do with the stakes involved as well – the stakes in her Xianxia novels tend to be slightly greater than the stakes in a High School modern setting, so perhaps a greater amount of tension is produced in the former. I do recall laughing at quite a few of the scenes in Being Fat Is Beautiful though!
