I skipped the book here and there but basically the story line is like this...
At about 16 I think, Cheng Ying got followed by a gangster when she was walking home. She was so scared that when she randomly grabbed a stranger , who is Shen Chi, to save her. But turns out Shen Chi is actually that gangster's boss. LOL. And the next time she saw him, it was when he was bleeding. She attended to his wounds. And she rushed home and attended school. But when she went to her school, Shen Chi turned out to be their relief teacher.

After a few years, when Cheng Ying was having her holidays, she met Shen Chi and she asked him when is he gonna treat her to a meal.
